There is a new mixed-use six story building coming to 2400   Columbia Pike which is the area from 2330 - 2408 facing Penrose Square and directly in front of Arlington Village. The developer is B. M. Smith.

The proposal includes the preservation of two historic facades for existing buildings at 2340-2342 and 2406-2406. These facades will be incorporated into the new building.

There will be a Meeting to discuss the development of this development at Walter Reed Community Center 2902 South 16th Street  April 7,  2016 at  7pm

Original Buildings


The new development will replace three buildings, one of which is empty at the moment. The one with the orange awnings at 2330 used to house Saah Unfinished Furniture, which moved some years ago. This building will be completely torn-down. The historic facades of Rappahannock Cafe, a popular coffee shop and the building that is home to LA Nails will be incorporated into the new development.
