The Farmers Market is brought to the Pike by CPRO, Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization. CPRO's Director Kim Klinger, Events Director Stephen Smith, and Administrative Assistant Amanda Lovins were all in attendance. The market is every Saturday from 9am to 1am, May 11 to November 23. There was a variety of venders with lots of fresh fruit , vegetables, and cookies etc. One vender was serving lunch, another had homemade soaps and candles. There was a number of booths with information and at the Long Branch Nature Center's Booth they even had a tarantula and turtle. The Art Truck was there and was busy all the time. The plaza playground was open with lots of shoppers and their children. Wandering the West Pike Walk Arlington with Graham Coreil-Allen met in the plaza before they started on their journey. The second Saturday of each month will be a special event which will include: June: Chalkapalooza and Halau O'Aulani Hawaiian Music and Dance Troupe, July: Bike to the Market Day, August: Celebrate Local Heros, September: Family Fun Day, October: Latino American Heritage Month and November: Give Back for Thanksgiving.
